 Oconee County Artist in Residence

Dawnita Hall Photography is honored to have been chosen to be the Artist in Residence at the Oconee County Parks.  Oconee County is a beautiful area of upstate South Carolina that is full of mountains, creeks, waterfalls, and forests.  I look forward to sharing with you God's amazing creation from that area.  If you will be visiting the region during that time or would like more information about how you can contact me or assist me during the residency, please contact me through the "Request more information" button below or through the website contact page.

 Rubber Duckie "Open Season"
part of the Facebook Rubber Duckie in the Park Picture Project

This family friendly event is for children and adults of all ages.  If you like to enjoy the outdoors, think rubber ducks are fun, and have a camera of any type (phone, ipad, "real" camera...), then this is the activity for you.  This event is a part of the ongoing Facebook group, Rubber Duckie in the Park Picture Project.  The goal is to photograph all the parks in the United States in as many g-rated and creative ways as possible using rubber duckies as the models in the images.  During Rubber Duckie "Open Season", there are games, trivia, activities, meet-ups, and fun challenges.  Though this is not a Dawnita Hall Photography event, we think this is a great way for people to use photography to spread a little cheer with your camera and rubber ducks.

Dawnita is currently scheduling private photography coaching experiences in the woods.  During these coaching experiences you will learn how to identify a wide range of nature subjects, how to chose photography subjects for maximum impact and interest, and you will learn the tricks of photographing these subjects in a wide variety of lighting and locations.  In addition to this, Dawnita will help you identify photography skills you want to master and will help you in accomplishing that goal.

Covid-19 Quarantine
Photo Challenge III

7 of 12 spots remaining

The third and final challenge is story telling challenge.  It is a FREE activity that is open to photographers at all skill levels.    At the beginning of the 5-day challenge, photographers will be given a list of 5 random items.  On April 3, photographers must submit a photo essay of 5-10 images that somehow ties these 5 random things together.   Each photographer is asked to also comment on at least 4 photo essays with helpful critique or with remarks that clearly point out what you feel the photographer did well in their image.

The goal of this activity is that we can indulge our creative side and learn from each other while hopefully avoiding the virus or any other crud that is floating around out there.
